Who I Am
I am Reynante M. Trinidad—a Pastor, a husband, a father, a preacher, a teacher, a mentor, and above all, a believer. Ministry begins at home—but it should never end there. The pulpit isn’t just inside a church building; it’s daily life. We carry our calling wherever we go.
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28)
My Calling & Journey
Different Place. Same Calling. Same God.
I passionately lived out my calling in the Philippines: preaching the Word, pastoring God’s people, and building His church. Ministry was my joy, my purpose, and my life.
But when God called me into a new chapter—a new country, new challenges, and an entirely new season here in Canada—I knew everything would change.
And honestly? Life here isn’t easy.
Canada’s culture, pace, responsibilities, and spiritual atmosphere differ. I transitioned from full-time pastoral ministry to full-time healthcare. My mission field shifted from church platforms to private homes and retirement residences. My congregation became patients and elderly residents—often in their most vulnerable or even final moments.
Yes—I’ve faced countless challenges. Some were unexpected, deeply testing my faith, patience, and identity. But I also know this: every challenge carries a story, and every struggle brings a lesson. In God’s perfect timing, I’ll share more of these stories—not merely to share my journey but to magnify God’s faithfulness.
Because even in unfamiliar places and unexpected seasons, God continues writing something beautiful.
One vital lesson I’ve learned:
That’s why, even from afar, I’ve never stopped serving our church community in the Philippines. For nearly 11 years, I’ve faithfully preached online, mentored leaders, encouraged believers, and helped build His Kingdom across borders.
Yet, here in Canada, I’ve discovered something equally profound:
This is my journey.
- My patients and elderly residents have become my congregation.
- Private homes and retirement residences have become my mission field.
- My life itself has become my message.
This is my calling.
And this is only the beginning.
Lessons Along the Way
- Calling doesn’t always come with acceptance.
- Credentials don’t always open doors.
- Background doesn’t always earn belonging.
I’ve faced rejection. I’ve felt invisible. I’ve wrestled with the ache of starting over — not because I doubted my calling, but because others did.
Yet, God continually reminds me:
- His calling is higher than human approval.
- Ministry isn’t about titles—it’s about hearts.
- Even in hidden seasons, God continues writing your story.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
(2 Corinthians 12:9)
My Greatest Testimony: My Family
When my second daughter was born with congenital heart defects, my own heart, along with my wife’s, was shattered.
In those darkest moments, ministry began exactly where it mattered most—at home.
My earnest prayer was simple yet profound:
“Lord, let me serve You while serving my family first.”
By God’s amazing grace—after multiple surgeries, countless prayers, and many secret tears—our daughter is thriving today.
This is, beyond anything else, my greatest testimony.
“But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
(Joshua 24:15)
And Now… It’s Time Again
I hear His gentle whisper clearly:
- It’s time to serve again.
- It’s time to lead again.
- It’s time to believe again.
Not just in the Philippines, where my journey first began—but right here in Canada, where God has intentionally planted me.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” (Isaiah 43:19)
So What is Faith + Care Life Ministries?
Faith + Care Life Ministries was born from my own journey — a testimony of faith, hope, and God’s unfailing grace.
It’s a place for:
- Pastors, leaders, and dreamers who are starting over.
- Immigrants finding their way in a land that feels unfamiliar.
- Leaders who know the sting of rejection but choose to keep going.
- Husbands and fathers fighting to hold on to their God-given calling.
- Anyone walking through uncertain seasons, trusting that God is still writing their story.
This is my journey.
But more than that — this is still His ministry.
